Charlotte Executive Van Transportation for Groups

Sometimes an SUV simply isn’t enough, but a full-size bus is way more vehicle than you need. That’s where our Ford Transit 350 HD executive van fits in. With comfortable seating for up to 14 passengers, a high-roof interior, a large sliding entry door, rear luggage space, charging connections and plenty of room to settle in, it works for everything from a family headed to Charlotte Douglas International Airport to a wedding party, corporate group or a bunch of friends spending the afternoon at a winery.

This is not a bare-bones passenger van where everyone is squeezed together with suitcases in their laps. The Transit was built and configured specifically for chauffeured group transportation. You get the convenience of keeping everybody together without having to coordinate three or four separate vehicles, figure out who is following whom, or wonder whether half the group took the wrong exit.

Group Airport Transportation to Charlotte Douglas International Airport

Airport transportation is probably one of the best uses for the van. A family of eight may fit into two SUVs, but once you start adding suitcases, strollers, golf clubs and carry-on bags, things can get complicated very quickly. The Transit gives the group one vehicle, one pickup time and one chauffeur. There is dedicated luggage space behind the passenger area, so you do not automatically have to sacrifice passenger seating just because everybody brought a suitcase.

We provide prearranged transportation to and from Charlotte Douglas International Airport for families, corporate travelers, wedding groups and larger parties throughout Greater Charlotte. For arriving passengers, we can provide regular airport pickup or arrange an inside Meet & Greet when requested. For departures, we can pick up at a home, hotel, office or other location and take the entire group directly to CLT together. Early-morning pickups are also available subject to scheduling.

Traveling With Children? This Is Where the Van Really Comes in Handy

Families traveling with small children are one of the groups that can get the most use out of the Transit. Anyone who has tried traveling with kids knows the equation changes quickly. Two adults, three children, grandparents, luggage, a stroller and three child seats suddenly becomes a transportation puzzle.

1776 Black Car Service maintains multiple child-restraint options that can be reserved in advance, including Graco convertible car seats, a five-point-harness high-back seat, a traditional high-back booster and a backless booster. We can accommodate more than one child seat in the same reservation, making the executive van especially useful for larger families, extended families and groups traveling with several young children.

The seats can be prepared in the vehicle before pickup according to the seat and vehicle manufacturer’s instructions, so you are not standing at the airport curb trying to unpack and install your own car seats after a flight. Parents should let us know in advance how many children will be traveling and their ages, heights and weights so we can determine which seats are appropriate and prepare the vehicle accordingly. We do not supply removable infant carrier-style seats, but our convertible seats can accommodate appropriate younger passengers within the manufacturer’s specifications.

There is another benefit people sometimes overlook: everybody gets to stay together. Grandparents do not have to take a separate rideshare. One parent does not have to ride in another vehicle with the luggage. Nobody has to find a second driver at CLT. For larger families flying into Charlotte, the Transit can turn what would otherwise be a small transportation operation into one simple airport pickup.

Wedding Shuttle and Wedding Party Transportation

The executive van also works extremely well for weddings because wedding transportation rarely consists of just one trip. You may have a bridal party at a hotel, family members at another location, photographs somewhere else, a ceremony at the venue and then guests who need to return to their hotel later that evening. Instead of everybody driving separately, the van can be scheduled around the day.

We can use the Transit for bridal parties, groomsmen, family members, hotel-to-venue transfers, rehearsal dinners, after-reception transportation and smaller wedding shuttle arrangements. It also works well alongside one of our SUVs when a couple wants a separate getaway vehicle while the wedding party or family travels in the van.

Charlotte has everything from historic estates to hotel ballrooms and outdoor venues, and the van is suited to transportation for weddings at locations such as Duke Mansion, The VanLandingham Estate, The Ballantyne and Brakefield at Riverwalk, along with venues throughout Mecklenburg, Union, York and Lancaster counties. Charlotte Wine Tours and Vineyard Trips

A wine tour is supposed to be the easy part of the week. Nobody in the group should have to volunteer to drive, follow another car from vineyard to vineyard or stare at GPS while everybody else enjoys the day. Put the group in the van, pick the places you want to visit, and make the transportation part simple.

We can arrange private wine transportation from the Charlotte area to vineyards throughout the surrounding Piedmont, foothills and Yadkin Valley regions. Depending on how far you want to travel, possible stops can include Veronét Vineyards & Winery in Kings Mountain, Treehouse Vineyards in Monroe, Davesté Vineyards in Troutman, Baker Buffalo Creek Vineyard, Medaloni Cellars, Old Homeplace Vineyard and Sanders Ridge Vineyard & Winery. These can be planned as a simple afternoon outing or a longer day with several stops. (Veronét Vineyards & Winery)

And no, we do not need to turn it into some rigid packaged tour where everybody has to follow a predetermined itinerary. If your group already knows the wineries you want to visit, tell us. If you are still figuring it out, we can help you build a practical route based on where you are starting and how much time you want to spend out.

Charlotte Brewery Transportation

The same idea works for Charlotte’s brewery scene. Get a group together, leave the driving to us and spend the afternoon or evening visiting breweries without constantly moving cars around town. The Transit is especially useful when you want to visit several locations because the group stays together from the first stop until everyone gets home.

Charlotte has breweries spread across South End, NoDa, LoSo and other parts of the city. Stops might include places such as The Olde Mecklenburg Brewery on Yancey Road or NoDa Brewing Company’s North End taproom, along with other breweries your group wants to visit. Both remain active Charlotte brewery destinations in 2026. (Olde Mecklenburg Brewery)

We can handle brewery outings as an hourly chauffeured service, which gives the group more flexibility than trying to schedule individual rides between every stop. Stay somewhere longer because everybody is having a good time? Move on sooner because it is packed? That is the advantage of having the vehicle and chauffeur dedicated to your group.

Corporate Groups, Meetings and Executive Transportation

The Transit does not have to be a party vehicle either. It is one of our most practical choices for corporate transportation. We can move executives from CLT to a hotel, take a group from a hotel to meetings, handle dinners and evening events, or keep a vehicle available for a team that has multiple stops around Charlotte.

It is particularly useful when an executive assistant or meeting planner wants one transportation contact instead of arranging several cars for the same group. Airport arrivals, office visits, hotels, restaurants and return transportation can all be coordinated around the same itinerary. And because the van has individual seating rather than basic bench seating, it still feels appropriate for professional and executive travel.

Concerts, Sporting Events and Nights Out

Panthers game, concert, birthday dinner, anniversary, bachelor or bachelorette outing, family celebration or simply a night in Uptown Charlotte — the Transit keeps everybody together and eliminates the least enjoyable part of a group night out: deciding who drives.

For larger events we generally schedule the vehicle as an hourly service rather than simply providing one drop-off and one pickup. That allows the chauffeur and vehicle to remain dedicated to your group and gives you some flexibility if plans change during the evening. There is no need to divide everybody into rideshares or spend twenty minutes at the end of the night figuring out where four different cars are.

City-to-City and Longer-Distance Group Transportation

The van is not limited to Charlotte either. For groups traveling together, it can be a comfortable alternative to flying short distances, renting multiple vehicles or coordinating several separate drivers. We can provide prearranged city-to-city transportation from Charlotte to destinations such as Raleigh, Charleston and other cities throughout the Carolinas and surrounding region.

For families, corporate groups and smaller travel parties, longer trips are often where keeping everyone in one vehicle makes the biggest difference. Load the luggage once, get everybody seated, and go.

One Van, A Lot of Different Uses

Airport transportation. Three child seats and a mountain of luggage. A wedding party. Twelve coworkers arriving for a conference. Eight friends going to vineyards. A family reunion. A brewery afternoon. A Panthers game. A long-distance trip.

That is really the point of the Transit. It isn’t built around one specific service. It gives us a way to move a larger group comfortably without turning the trip into a bus charter or splitting everyone among several vehicles.
